Can't log into siteadmin

I installed the script from my web hosting package. I was able to log into siteadmin at first, but then a little while after I changed the password, I can't get in anymore. It says incorrect login but the top right corner for some reason displays a "logout" link.

I even tried clearing cache, and even tried logging in with a different browser but same problem.

try on main page password reminder that will send you a new password.

I don't know what you mean by main page. The site admin page doesn't have a password reminder link. The main site page has a password reminder link but that's not for siteadmin, that's for regular users including regular admin.

I even tried this from the wiki but it didn't work:

Solution

You will need PHPMyAdmin or similar to fix this problem. PHPmyAdmin is an application that is normally a part of your web hosting control panel.

   1. Connect to your PHPmotion Database using PHPmyAdmin
   2. Select the member_profile table and find the admin user
   3. Click the edit icon (or similar)
   4. Use our tool to create a new password MD5 Password Tool - The password must be MD5 so you must use this tool first
   5. Update the database record to show this new password

assuming this is v3, or 3.5 on the home page there is a password reminder, just use that.

there is no such thing as a regular admin.

the siteadmin is also a member / user.......!!!!

Ok well I just reinstalled the script and now I can access the siteadmin.

But I can't upload videos. At the end of the upload it just stops and tries to open an uuupload.txt file? What gives?
btw I checked the wiki but couldn't find anything related to this.

if the upload pl is not running as a perl script the site is not setup to run / exe perl
