How to 'start' website?

I have configured my apache server correctly and it is suitable to run the website. I have downloaded the phpMotion file which contains everything from the download section. How do I actually start the website? It is in the correct location on my server called htdocs. I then type in my web browser the loaction of a webpage. For example http://localhost/XXXX. 'XXXX' should be the home webpage that starts everything, what is this XXXXX.  I was also wondering will it be connected to my database, mySQL?

Local installations aren't officially supported, although a few have gotten things working locally, at least for the most part.

The setup has to be run first, and that's where you will input your database info, etc.
