Issue with Video Uploads
« on: October 18, 2009, 02:45:10 PM »
Suddenly yesterday I started having a problem with video uploads.

When the video is uploaded and it creates the video id in the database, it is now adding the original file extension to the video ID and the video are not converting. I have about 180 videos in my database that were uploaded since yesterday and they are not converting. I tried re-starting Apache to clear any hung processes and then ran convertor.php manually but nothing is happening.

I also tried removing the file extensions from the video ID's and then running convertor.php manually again but still no conversion is taking place. These are video file types that have been uploaded thousands of times before and I was out of town all day yesterday so no changes were made to files, db, or anything.

Has anyone experienced anything like this before? If so, did you find a solution?

Yes, this started happening to my site as well yesterday. I have it set to manually approve videos but when I upload a video now it doesn't appear under video approval link in siteadmin but the video file is in the avi folder but not in the uploads folder. I too did not touch anything leading up to this. Any help appreciated.
