Is there anyway to make phpshield.5.2.lin compatible with PHP 5.3 or do we need to wait till phpshield.5.3.lin comes out? Any idea when?

No it doesn't I get this warning:

PHP script /.../config.php is protected by phpSHIELD and requires the phpSHIELD loader phpshield.5.3.lin. The phpSHIELD loader has not been installed, or is not installed correctly. Please visit the phpSHIELD php encoder site to download required loader.

I have the same problem

the "php -i|grep extension_dir"  command returns this

PHP Warning:  PHP Startup: phpSHIELD: Unable to initialize module
Module compiled with module API=20060613
PHP    compiled with module API=20090626
These options need to match
 in Unknown on line 0
extension_dir => /usr/lib/php/modules => /usr/lib/php/modules

until phpshield releases a loader for php 5.3, you can't do much of anything short of downgrading your current version to php5.2x until they make the new one.

I've used their "contact" form on their site to ask about a timeline on release for php5.3, still waiting for a reply.

Do you mean when phpshield will support PHP 5.3? We are currently working on the new major release which will include support of PHP 5.3. It's about to be released in January 2010.
