While Uploading - Page Protection
« on: October 02, 2007, 03:23:05 PM »
When I start uploading files with my slow ISP, I tend to just drift off and forget about it.  Sometimes, I accidentally hit the back button, refresh, close the page or whatnot.  How about a popup that confirms if you want to close the page, kinda like meebo (meebo.com).

Yea we need that.  Also, when hitting the back button when wanting to edit something in the description.  Everything clears out and you need to start all over for the upload_form.

I totally agree, clearing session information about the video, just so you can update a typo or something... is a drag.

I can do this easily. Let me make sure I understand the requirement.

How about adding a button (EDIT) on the second upload page where you select the file ?
This has RESET and UPLOAD buttons now.

This new EDIT button will take you back to the first page retaining the details.

Will that meet your need ?

Just got the EDIT button to work on the upload (second page).

Check it out and provide feedback.

1) Go to http://video.victorc21.com
2) Login using rhayes (both userid and password)
3) Try EDIT button from the upload (second page).

Needed to modify the following pages.
1)uploader.php
2)templates/templates/inner_upload_video.htm

So what if I accidently hit the back button on my keyboard? Will this prevent it from erasing too? Or it's straight from the 'EDIT' button?
